Setting up websites

FAQ
- I want to set up a fannish website. What do I need to do?
First thing to do is to define what it is you are publicising, how much you are prepared to spend, and what the copy is. (ie what text and graphic material you want on the website). If you just want a few pages on another site (eg the SFLink.net website) then this can be done for free. So long as you don't need to update it very often this can be done easily as well. There is no cost to this but a donation to the costs of running GopherIT's web machine would be appreciated. I suggest a figure around the cost of a convention membership would be appropriate. You ought to join the GopherIT Livejournal Community and explain what you need and how far you have got. Hopefully you will find a person willing to take your copy and turn it into half decent web pages. I wouldn't recommend doing it yourself unless you really do know what you are doing.
